Located in the 19th-century distillery of the palace complex, the project transforms the historic structure into the Historical Parks Information Centre.
Three main spaces were revitalised: the hall area, featuring a reception desk and a circular bench for visitors to rest; the education room, recalling the former distillery equipment; and the exhibition space, situated in the vaulted underground level.
The exhibition occupies two vaulted cellar rooms with minimal vertical surfaces and explores the theme of historical parks. The first room introduces the work of Édouard André, the French landscape architect and botanist who designed four Lithuanian parks in the 19th century, presenting his global projects and design principles. The second room focuses on the Trakai Historical National Park, highlighting its cultural, botanical, and architectural values through 360° virtual experiences that immerse visitors in the park’s most remarkable landscapes.
