We have completed the comprehensive renovation of the Lithuanian Embassy in Riga, transforming it into a modern, efficient, and representative diplomatic space. Originally built in the late 1990s, the embassy required a full-scale update to enhance functionality, security, and sustainability while maintaining a strong architectural identity.

A key focus of our work was rethinking the spatial structure to introduce openness and natural light. The outdated, fragmented layout was replaced with a clear, fluid organization centered around a newly created atrium, which visually and functionally connects different levels of the building. At the attic level, we introduced a glass patio that allows daylight to stream in through the roof while also providing access to a private outdoor space—offering a rare moment of openness and retreat within the urban fabric.

Energy efficiency and sustainability were also integral to the project. We implemented smart climate control systems, optimized ventilation, and installed a rooftop solar power plant to reduce the building’s environmental footprint. Materials were carefully selected to enhance both aesthetics and longevity—natural oak, glass partitions, and custom terrazzo flooring contribute to a refined yet durable interior. A bespoke parquet pattern, inspired by shared Baltic heritage, weaves cultural identity into the space.

The transformation also introduced a dedicated consular area, flexible event spaces, and a redesigned ambassador’s residence, ensuring that the embassy functions seamlessly while offering a welcoming and representative environment. With security, comfort, and architectural clarity at the forefront, the project establishes a forward-thinking diplomatic presence in the heart of Riga.
